About Us
The Westminster Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 25, was founded in 1981 by five dedicated City of Westminster Police Officers. Since our inception, we have grown to over 180 members, representing the police officers from the City of Westminster in Westminster, CO.
We are part of the world’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with over 373,000 members in more than 2,200 lodges nationwide. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation.
No one knows the dangers and difficulties faced by today’s police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the Fraternal Order of Police. We stand united in our mission to support, defend, and serve our community with honor, integrity, and dedication.

We, the law enforcement officers of Westminster, Colorado, as representatives and delegates of our lodge, do hereby associate ourselves for the following purposes:
- Support and Defend the Constitution: To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of Colorado, fostering loyalty and allegiance to our nation.
- Promote Law and Order: To enhance the enforcement of law and order within our community, ensuring the safety and security of our citizens.
- Improve Proficiency: To continually improve the individual and collective proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties through training, education, and professional development.
- Encourage Fraternalism: To encourage fraternal, educational, charitable, and social activities among our members, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual support.
- Enforce and Educate: To enforce and educate the public on laws, ensuring the apprehension of those who seek to disrupt the quality of life within our community.
- Advocate for Merit-Based Systems: To advocate for the uniform application of the civil service merit system for appointment and promotion within the law enforcement profession.
- Enhance Working Conditions: To support the improvement of the standard of living and working conditions for law enforcement officers through every legal and ethical means available.
- Foster Esprit de Corps: To create and maintain a tradition of esprit de corps, ensuring fidelity to duty under all conditions and circumstances.
- Cultivate Fraternalism: To cultivate a spirit of fraternalism and mutual helpfulness among our members and the community we serve.
- Increase Efficiency: To increase the efficiency of the law enforcement profession, thereby establishing greater public confidence in our dedication to the protection of life and property.
